Frontend Developer (Intern / Early Contributor)

About the Role

As a Frontend Developer at Cornerstone Digital Payments, you’ll work on building responsive, accessible, and delightful user experiences across our products. You’ll collaborate with designers and backend engineers to bring ideas to life and ensure that our user interfaces are fast, reliable, and intuitive.

This role is ideal for someone who’s excited about clean UI, pixel-perfect design, and writing maintainable, modern frontend code that scales as we grow.

What You’ll Do

• Develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React and Tailwind CSS
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and optimize performance
• Work with design teams to translate Figma mockups into high-quality code
• Ensure accessibility, consistency, and cross-browser compatibility
• Write clean, reusable components and maintain scalable frontend architecture
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to UI/UX discussions
• Continuously improve frontend performance and page load speed

You’ll Thrive Here If You

• Have at least 1 year of experience building web applications or personal projects
• Are comfortable with React, Next.js, or similar frameworks
• Understand modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and component-based architecture
• Have an eye for clean design and attention to detail
• Know how to work with RESTful APIs and state management tools (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
• Enjoy collaborating in a fast-paced startup environment
• Are curious, self-driven, and eager to learn new technologies

Bonus Points

• Experience with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui
• Familiarity with Next.js and server-side rendering (SSR)
• Understanding of design systems and component libraries
• Experience working with Figma or other design tools
• Interest in fintech or digital payments
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal portfolio websites
